A couple of weeks ago I watched a documentary on The Beatles’ first U.S. visit and loved it. I decided to see what all the hullaballoo was about since The Beatles hit and left the stage before my parents even got together!

Really, their songs are just like country music–in the sense that they tell a good and, often, funny story. Their tunes are catchy and the songs brim with young, fresh-faced enthusiasm for life. I must admit I listened only to the early songs; I’m not sure what kind of chants they were crooning after they later spent time with the Maharishi in India.

Ah, music! It makes the world go round; doesn’t it?
